Job summary

Thimble Alterations is seeking experienced independent contractors to join our network of bridal and wedding wear specialists. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and tailored pieces, manage fittings, and communicate timelines clearly with clients.

Work from home, receive local client requests through our platform, and have the flexibility to accept jobs that fit your schedule while building repeat clients and reviews on your profile.

Qualifications

• Experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precise measuring.
• Proficiency in machine and hand sewing.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
