Thimble Alterations, a network of independent alteration professionals, seeks specialists in bridal and wedding-wear alterations to work from home on a flexible, independent-contractor basis. You will handle wedding gowns, bridesmaid pieces, and mother-of-the-bride/groom ensembles, ensuring precise fittings and timely communication.

Qualifications

Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring.
Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
Work with structured bridal gowns (layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
