Job summary

Thimble Alterations is seeking skilled independent contractors to join its network of bridal alterations specialists. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother‑of‑the‑bride/groom gowns, delivering precise fittings and timely communication.

Work from home on flexible client requests, with opportunities to grow repeat clients and reviews through your profile. Candidates should have proven experience with bridal/formalwear and strong garment construction knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother‑of‑the‑bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
