Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards, while delivering superior customer service. You will work with store leadership to ensure a five-star experience and maintain a clean, organized alterations area.

The role involves sewing, steaming, and finishing garments, advising customers on alterations and customization, and supporting sales and customer satisfaction through expert service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store.
• Prior sewing experience required, bridal/special occasion preferred.
• Prior experience with POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in person, over the phone, and via chat with friendly enthusiasm and clear communication.
• Manage customer flow using store systems to deliver a five-star experience.
• Maintain service levels and prepare, welcome, and meet customer needs.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Ensure alterations are performed to company standards and quality is verified before delivery.
• Keep alterations room clean and organized and process alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, and finishing tasks.
• Address customer concerns promptly and escalate to leadership when needed.
• Support cash wrap processes and ensure accurate transactions.
