David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to perform fittings, alterations, and related services to a high standard. You will support customers in person, by phone, and online while upholding our brand’s friendly, knowledgeable, and technical approach.

The role emphasizes bridal alterations, fabric care, and personalized options, with a focus on delivering five-star service and integrity across all interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person; adapt style to suit customers by problem solving and resolving conflict.
• Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience.
• Maintain all service levels by being prepared, welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for customers, including checklist tasks.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers at one time and support store Five-Star service goals.
• Address customer concerns with confidence and know when to escalate to leadership.
• Explain how alterations can enhance the dress and promote alteration services and personalization options.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain alterations room cleanliness and ensure garments meet David’s Bridal standards before delivery.
• Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information.
• Build long-term relationships with customers to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage inventory and ensure first-quality standards for all merchandise, including special orders.
