Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations with high standards of service. You will assist customers in person, over the phone, and online, promoting alteration services and ensuring a flawless product presentation.

You will work with stylists to tailor gowns, maintain a clean alterations area, and uphold dress code policies while delivering five-star customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience preferred, bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm across phone, virtual chats and in person.
• Use systems to manage customer flow and deliver five-star customer experience.
• Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, and responsive to customer needs.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers and contribute to five-star service.
• Address customer concerns promptly and know when to elevate to leadership.
• Explain how alterations can enhance dress fittings and promote alteration services.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain store standards for a flawless shopping experience.
• Greet and escort alterations customers to appointments and ensure all garments are verified in pristine condition before delivery.
