Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards, reporting to the Store Manager. You will deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and demonstrate technical tailoring expertise to help guests prepare for their events.

You’ll greet customers, assist stylists with gown measurements and customization, and ensure all garments meet quality standards before delivery.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or specialty store preferred.
Prior sewing experience required, preferably bridal or special occasion production.
Experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person, over the phone, or via virtual chats.
Manage customer flow to deliver a five-star experience using store systems.
Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, and responsive to customer needs.
Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers and support store goals.
Address customer concerns confidently and escalate when necessary.
Explain how alterations can perfect a dress and promote alteration services and personalization.
Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
Keep the alterations area clean, organized, and compliant with standards.
Inspect altered garments for quality before delivery to customers.
Build long-term relationships to drive loyalty and satisfaction.
