Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards, reporting to the Store Manager. You will provide friendly, knowledgeable service and showcase technical expertise while helping guests look their best for their events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years retail experience preferred.
• Prior sewing experience, preferably bridal or special occasion.
• POS system experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm over the phone, chats and in person, adapting style to solve problems and resolve conflicts.
• Use systems to manage customer flow to deliver a five-star experience.
• Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, and meeting customer needs and expectations.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers at once and support store Five‑Star goals.
• Address customer concerns confidently and know when to escalate to leadership.
• Explain how alterations enhance dress perfection for events and promote services offered.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Keep store standards for a flawless shopping experience and ensure Dress Code adherence.
• Escort alterations customers to and from fittings and ensure quality of garments before delivery.
• Respond promptly to questions with product and service information and build customer relationships.
• Maintain alterations area cleanliness and organization and manage inventory by handling special orders and pickups.
• Ensure alteration pricing conforms to company standards and manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming and spot cleaning.
• Resolve issues promptly following company guidelines and support cash wrap processes.
• Maintain the alterations room in a clean, organized state and perform duties as assigned by management.
