David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards. You will exemplify friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and provide superior service.

This role reports to the Store Manager and is integral to the store team and the David’s Bridal brand. As part-time team member, you’ll welcome customers, manage alterations, assist stylists, and maintain shop cleanliness while upholding dress code policy and quality control guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store preferred.
• Prior sewing experience required, bridal or special occasion experience preferred.
• Experience with computerized POS systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with enthusiasm in person, over the phone, and via chat; adapt style to customer needs.
• Manage customer flow using store systems to deliver a five-star experience.
• Maintain service levels by following operational checklists and addressing emotional/practical needs.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously and support store five-star goals.
• Proactively address customer concerns and collaborate with leadership when needed.
• Explain alterations significance and promote all alteration services and personalization options.
• Assist stylists by advising on gown fit and customization to close sales.
• Maintain store standards for a flawless shopping experience and dress code compliance.
• Escort customers to alterations appointments and ensure quality control before delivery.
• Handle questions with product/service information and build lasting customer relationships.
• Oversee inventory for special orders and ensure quality standards of all merchandise.
