Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to provide expert alterations, fittings and personalized service. You will greet customers across in-store, phone and chat, advise on gown fit, and coordinate with stylists to close sales while maintaining flawless service standards.

The role requires sewing experience and a customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate can manage multiple fittings, uphold store policies, and keep the alterations room organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store preferred.
• Prior sewing experience is beneficial, especially bridal/special occasion.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly in person, on phone, and via chat. Resolve conflicts with a friendly, solution-oriented approach.
• Manage customer flow to deliver a five-star experience using all store systems.
• Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming and responsive to customer needs.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and alterations.
• Promote alterations services and customization options to customers.
• Keep alterations area clean, organized and within company standards.
• Process transactions accurately and support cash wrap processes.
• Ensure garments are inspected for quality before delivery to customers.
