Job summary

Milo’s Tea Company is seeking a Brew & Processing Manager in Spartanburg to lead daily brewing operations, ensure quality and safety, and manage production targets. This role requires overseeing sanitation, equipment performance, and shift coverage for 24/7 operation, including night shifts.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience, plus 5+ years in a salaried supervisory role within a high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Chemical Science, or Engineering preferred; or five years of related leadership experience.
• Supervisory experience leading a team of >10 associates in a high-performance work system environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives across brewing and processing to ensure consistent product flow.
• Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP, Food Safety Plans, and SQF standards.
• Oversee brew and processing scheduling to meet production targets and coordinate with engineering/vendors.
• Develop HPWS to support team development, performance, and business growth.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize brewing, CIP, yield, waste reduction, and productivity using KPIs.
• Oversee CIP activities and sanitation programs; manage Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Manage chemical ordering and usage, inventory, storage, and disposal of containers.
• Lead training and development of associates; manage staffing and overtime budgeting.
• Assist with department budgeting and cost control in collaboration with site leadership.
