Job summary

Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a TH Medical Radiographer for Breast Care Services Mammography on a per diem basis. The role involves producing diagnostic breast imaging, patient positioning, equipment operation, and adherence to safety and sterile techniques while supporting teaching and supervision as needed.

Qualified candidates should hold NYS DOH Radiology certification, ARRT Breast, and BLS, and have completed a radiology diagnostic program.

Qualifications

• Required: NYS DOH Certified in Radiology Technology
• ARRT Breast Certification
• BLS Certification
• Graduate of a Radiology Diagnostic Program

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic exams and position patients, using immobilization devices and selecting proper technical factors.
• Operate imaging equipment and adjust factors for each patient.
• Maintain safety standards and sterile technique, prevent cross-contamination.
• Assist in teaching radiology students and staff and supervise in absence of senior staff.
