Equus Inn in Ocala, FL is seeking a part-time Hotel Breakfast Host to manage the breakfast area and guest experience each morning. You will greet guests, assist with dietary needs, prepare and replenish foods and beverages, and keep the area clean and well-stocked.

Experience in food service is preferred; flexible hours include early mornings, weekends, and holidays. This role offers performance bonuses and incentives as part of the compensation package.

Purpose of the Position

As a Hotel Breakfast Host at Equus Inn, you will be instrumental in creating a warm, inviting breakfast experience for our guests. Your role involves managing the breakfast area, maintaining exceptional service standards, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for each morning.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service: Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor. Respond promptly to questions, special requests, or concerns to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
• Breakfast Preparation: Set up the breakfast area, including arranging food and beverages, organizing supplies, and preparing the space for service.
• Food Quality & Presentation: Monitor food and beverage items to ensure freshness, proper presentation, and compliance with health and safety standards. Restock as needed.
• Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including wiping down surfaces, clearing tables, managing waste, and ensuring overall tidiness throughout the shift.
• Guest Assistance: Offer guidance on breakfast offerings and accommodate special dietary needs. Ensure guests are comfortable and have everything they need.
• Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels and communicate shortages or maintenance issues to the appropriate team members.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to provide a secure, clean environment for guests and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and management to support overall guest satisfaction and efficient hotel operations.

Requirements

• Experience: 6 months to 1 year in the food service or hospitality industry preferred.
• Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a basic understanding of food handling and customer service.
• Physical Demands:
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout your shift
• Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Availability: Flexible to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
