Equus Inn is hiring a Hotel Breakfast Host to create a welcoming breakfast experience for guests. You will set up the breakfast area, serve guests, maintain cleanliness, and assist with dietary needs.

The role involves coordinating with housekeeping and front desk, handling food safety, and ensuring a smooth start to guests' mornings. Schedule is 16–20 hours per week with flexibility for additional hours.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year in the food service or hospitality industry preferred.
• Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and basic food handling and customer service.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service: Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor. Respond to questions and requests.
• Breakfast Preparation: Set up the breakfast area, arrange food and beverages, and prepare the space for service.
• Food Quality & Presentation: Ensure freshness, proper presentation, and restock as needed.
• Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain sanitary environment, wipe surfaces, and keep the area tidy.
• Guest Assistance: Advise on offerings and accommodate dietary needs.
• Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels and report shortages or issues.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow health and sanitation guidelines for a safe environment.

Purpose of the Position

As a Hotel Breakfast Host at Equus Inn, you will be instrumental in creating a warm, inviting breakfast experience for our guests. Your role involves managing the breakfast area, maintaining exceptional service standards, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for each morning.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service: Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor. Respond promptly to questions, special requests, or concerns to ensure an outstanding guest experience.

• Breakfast Preparation: Set up the breakfast area, including arranging food and beverages, organizing supplies, and preparing the space for service.

• Food Quality & Presentation: Monitor food and beverage items to ensure freshness, proper presentation, and compliance with health and safety standards. Restock as needed.

• Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including wiping down surfaces, clearing tables, managing waste, and ensuring overall tidiness throughout the shift.

• Guest Assistance: Offer guidance on breakfast offerings and accommodate special dietary needs. Ensure guests are comfortable and have everything they need.

• Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels and communicate shortages or maintenance issues to the appropriate team members.

• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to provide a secure, clean environment for guests and staff.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and management to support overall guest satisfaction and efficient hotel operations.

Requirements

• Experience: 6 months to 1 year in the food service or hospitality industry preferred.

• Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a basic understanding of food handling and customer service.

• Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout your shift

  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
