Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a cook to prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes for residents with special dietary needs. The role includes supervising dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director and ensuring a clean, safe kitchen at all times.

The position requires Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), ability to read and perform basic calculations, and a team-oriented, flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification required or within 60 days of hire.
• Understanding of food service operations and dietary duties.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic calculations.
• Ability to learn quickly, follow directions, and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly kitchen and work area.
• Take and record food temperatures three times daily.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
