Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Cook to prepare all food items for the Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work across multiple outlets, ensuring efficient service and compliance with hotel recipes and portions.

The role requires culinary experience, flexibility with hours, and ability to stand long shifts in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in standard cooking techniques is expected.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Stand for long periods during shift.
• Knowledge of menus and hotel-standard preparation.
• Proficiency in frying, sauté, roasting, braising, et al.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Prepare and pre-stage food for service to ensure prompt guest service.
• Prepare and display buffet items according to standards.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and sanitation of ingredients.
• Support kitchen positions as needed by supervision.
• Follow health regulations and company safety policies.
