Job summary

Highgate is seeking a Cook to prepare food for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will follow standardized recipes, maintain cleanliness, safety, and cost controls while delivering quality meals to guests.

The role requires knowledge of menus, food preparation, and ability to work across kitchen stations, with strong attention to safety and teamwork. Shift-based, hourly compensation applies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of menus and preparation per hotel standards.
• Proficiency in food preparation and station setup.
• Ability to prepare buffet items to hotel standards.
• Familiar with cooking techniques: charbroiling, poaching, frying, sauté, braising, roasting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warm, friendly demeanor with guests and staff.
• Communicate effectively at all levels within the hotel.
• Multi-task and prioritize kitchen duties to meet deadlines.
