Highgate Hotels in Denver is seeking a skilled Cook to prepare all food items per standardized recipes for Restaurant, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, while maintaining top quality and safety.

You will work across stations, ensure cleanliness, follow health regulations, and support other kitchen positions as needed. This is a full-time role offering competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel experience preferred.
• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and 20 lb frequently.
• Ability to stand during entire shift; withstand temperature variations.
• Knowledge of hotel menus and standard preparations.
• Proficiency in cooking techniques: charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting, par-cooking.
• Knowledge of herbs and spices and proper usage.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
• Prepare and stage food pre-opening to ensure prompt service during Restaurant and Room Service hours.
• Prepare and display buffet items per hotel standards.
• Recognize quality in vegetables, fish, dairy and meat products.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and proper storage procedures.
• Prepare foods for Banquets and Employee Cafeteria as directed by Chef.
• Follow hotel standard recipes; assist Chef or Kitchen Supervisor as needed.
• Breakdown buffets and kitchen line; store items properly after meals.
• Work banquet stations as scheduled by Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
• Know location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment.
• Practice safe work habits and comply with Health Dept./Company regs.
• Operate and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment; keep a Clean-As-You-Go policy.
• Assist in storage and rotation of food per procedures.
