Job summary

The Hampton Inn Albany Western Ave SUNY Area is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to ensure a welcoming morning experience for guests. You will assist with hot and cold breakfast items, stock stations, and keep the dining area neat and sanitary.

Reliability, friendly communication, and the ability to work early hours (4:30am) are essential. Hospitality or food-service background helps, but training is offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must be able to come in at 4:30am.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality education a plus.
• Previous experience in customer service or food service preferred but training available.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized service to all guests.
• Prepare foods eggs, bacon, sausage.
• Stock coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.
• Set out/arrange cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, donuts, cereal, etc.
• Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
• Wipe up spills and maintain cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the morning.
• Remove trash.
• Restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
• Wash serving equipment and return it to storage.
• All duties around preparation, set up, and service of the complimentary breakfast.
• Any other duties as requested by the supervisor.

As a Breakfast Attendant, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all guests and visitors. The Breakfast Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for guests, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience during their stay or visit. This role requires a friendly and approachable demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Breakfast Attendant must be attentive to detail, handle guest inquiries and requests, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide personalized service to all guests.
• Preparing foods eggs, bacon, sausage

• Setting out/arranging cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, donuts, cereal, etc.
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
• Wiping up spills and maintaining cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the morning.
