The Hampton Inn Albany Western Ave SUNY Area is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to deliver welcoming, efficient service for guests during the morning hours. You will assist with the preparation and presentation of the complimentary breakfast, ensure cleanliness, and maintain a friendly, professional atmosphere in the dining area.

The role emphasizes punctuality for 4:30am starts, strong communication, and a positive, customer-focused approach to hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to come in at 4:30am.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality education or certification is a plus.
• Previous customer service or food service experience preferred but training may be provided.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized service to all guests.
• Prepare foods: eggs, bacon, sausage.
• Stock coffee, juice, and milk machines/dispensers.
• Set out/arrange cold foods (rolls, muffins, donuts, cereal).
• Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
• Wipe spills and maintain cleanliness of appliances and counter space.
• Remove trash.
• Restock self-service foods and supplies.
• Wash serving equipment and return to storage.
• Handle duties around preparation, setup, and service of the complimentary breakfast.
• Follow supervisor instructions and hotel policies.

Position Overview:

The Hampton Inn Albany Western Ave SUNY Area, is a dynamic and customer-focused hotel committed to providing exceptional service and experiences to our clients. As a Breakfast Attendant, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all guests and visitors. The Breakfast Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for guests, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience during their stay or visit. This role requires a friendly and approachable demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Breakfast Attendant must be attentive to detail, handle guest inquiries and requests, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized service to all guests.
• Preparing foods eggs, bacon, sausage
• Stocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.
• Setting out/arranging cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, donuts, cereal, etc.
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
• Wiping up spills and maintaining cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the morning.
• Removing trash.
• Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed.
• Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage.
• All duties around preparation, set up, and service of the complimentary breakfast.
• Any other duties as requested by the supervisor.
• Comply with hotel policies and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be able to come in at 4:30am
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in customer service or a food service role is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Maintains professional working relationships and promotes open lines of communication with managers, team members, and other departments.
