Job summary

P&S Transportation in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Breakdown Coordinator to serve as liaison between drivers, vendors, and stakeholders and to coordinate maintenance for on-road service. You will receive inbound calls and ensure drivers get timely, helpful support while managing repair processes.

We value strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience (Preferred).
Previous call center, service writer, or mechanical experience (Preferred).
Experience in the transportation industry (Preferred).
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
OEM maintenance certifications.

Responsibilities

Handle inbound calls and coordinate maintenance between drivers, vendors, and stakeholders.
Deliver outstanding customer service to drivers engaging with the team.
Create repair orders within Fleetio and track progress.
Communicate breakdowns and incidents to operations and risk management teams.
Review repair estimates and authorize approved repairs as needed.
Maintain clear, timely communication with vendors, drivers, and operations.
