Job summary

GTR Link in West Point, Mississippi, is seeking a production associate to operate breading equipment and ensure product is properly coated. You will maintain GMP hygiene, inspect for defects, and report any abnormalities to supervision in a cold, fast-paced facility.

The role requires standing all day, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a 38°F environment, with strict adherence to safety and quality standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Know and understand the breader/breading machines operation.
• Know and understand the proper breading flour to use for each product as per customer specifications.
• Know and understand the proper procedure for dumping bags of flour / breading.
• Be able to lift and dump bags of flour / breading (up to 50 pounds each).
• Monitor the breading process to insure product is properly coated.
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
• Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.
• Working at temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit
• Standing / walking 100% of the workday
• Lifting up to 50 pounds on a constant basis.

• Natural occurring defect i.e. bruises and blood spots.
• Processing defects would be but not limited to foreign material and out of spec product.

Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.

Abnormal situation would be:

• Product tampering
• Willful product adulteration
• Unauthorized employees in restricted areas
• Situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring
• Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake

• Working at temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit
• Standing / walking 100% of the workday
• Lifting up to 50 pounds on a constant basis.
