Job summary

Peco Foods, Inc. in West Point, Mississippi is looking for team members to inspect butterfly filet portions and report averages throughout the shift.

The role requires maintaining a clean, organized work area and complying with plant policies and GMP standards. You will follow packaging and labeling specifications and inspect for natural and processing defects, reporting any suspicious or abnormal situations to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect butterfly filets to report averages throughout the shift.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area.
• Comply with written plant policies.
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness per GMP policies.
• Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
• Physically inspect products for natural defects (bruises, blood spots).
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their supervisor or plant management.
• Abnormal situations include unauthorized personnel in restricted areas or suspected product adulteration.
• Equipment malfunctions that may affect product wholesomeness.
• Physical Demands: Working at 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Standing / walking 100% of the workday.
• Lifting / moving up to 10-20 pounds frequently.
• Carrying clipboard and paperwork weighing less than one pound continuously.
• Note: Company may modify job duties without notice.

Job description

Inspect the butterfly filets to report averages throughout the shift

Help maintain a neat and organized work area.

Comply with written plant policies.

Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.

Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.

Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.

Natural occurring defects i.e. bruises and blood spots.

Processing defects would be but not limited to foreign material and out of spec product.

Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.

Abnormal situations would be:

Unauthorized employees in restricted areas

Situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring

Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake

Physical Demands:

Working at temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit

Standing / walking 100% of the workday.

Lifting / moving up to 10-20 pounds on a frequent basis.

Carry clipboard and paperwork weighing less than one pound on a constant basis.
