Job summary

Der Dutchman Restaurant Plain City is hiring part-time team members to assist guests, maintain the buffet and provide friendly service. You’ll learn recipes, ingredients and safety practices while helping guests at the salad bar and table when needed.

We offer Sundays off, flexible schedules, on-the-job training and benefits including Medical insurance, HSA and a 401(k) plan with match. SafeServ training available; no prior certification required.

Qualifications

• Great customer service attitude.
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions.
• Ability to share information with guests.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and/or move 15 to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Smile and assist guests at buffet/salad bar as needed or requested.
• Know the ingredients in each recipe and provide information to guests who ask.
• Keep buffet/salad bar appearance fresh and clean; keep surrounding area safe from spills.
• Take items not on buffet/salad bar to guests’ tables as requested.
• Provide assistance to guests who are disabled.

What you’ll be doing

• Smile and assist guests at buffet/salad bar as needed or requested
• Know the ingredients in each recipe and will provide this information to guests who ask
• Keep buffet/salad bar appearance fresh and clean and surrounding floor free of spilled food/dressing may cause falls
• Take items that are not currently on buffet/salad bar to the guest’s table as requested
• Provide assistance to guests who are disabled
