Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled Brazer to join the production team building high-quality chillers for data centers. You will braze and assemble copper and metal components, reading blueprints and specifications to ensure reliable, leak-free joints.

This role operates on first to third shift with overtime on Saturdays, and offers base pay plus shift differential. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of pipefitting or brazing/welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with oxy-acetylene torches and brazing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail with quality inspections.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied positions for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and PPE handling.
• High school diploma or GED; technical brazing/welding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform brazing and soldering of copper, brass, and other metal components for chiller assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure correct assembly.
• Set up and operate brazing torches and related equipment for strong, leak-proof joints.
• Inspect joints to ensure QA and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with welders, assemblers, and quality control to maintain efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
