Job summary

Descript seeks a Brand Design Lead to evolve the brand across campaigns, web experiences, and events. You will move between big picture concepting, brand system building, and craftful design, reporting to the Director of Brand & Content.

You’ll lead launches, create scalable brand toolkits, and mentor designers while collaborating with product, marketing, and sales to deliver on-brand work with AI-enhanced scalability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in brand design, in-house or agency.
• Portfolio showcasing range across web, social, and paid channels.
• Strong command of typography, color, and composition.
• Evidence of building a brand system that scaled beyond output.
• Experience directing outside creative partners.
• Fluency with AI tools to produce and scale work with a clear perspective on where not to use them.

Responsibilities

• Set a high bar and execute work that exceeds it; evolve the Descript brand for campaigns, web, and events.
• Lead concept and design for launches and campaigns from brief through delivery.
• Build brand systems and toolkits to scale work with product, marketing, and sales partners.
• Mentor designers and act as an ambassador for craft across the company.
