Job summary

Descript is seeking a Brand Design Lead to evolve our brand across campaigns, web experiences, and events. You’ll balance big picture concepting with expert craft, reporting to the Director of Brand & Content.

You’ll lead campaigns end-to-end, build scalable brand systems, and mentor designers while coordinating with product, marketing, and sales teams. The role emphasizes using AI tools to scale impact without sacrificing quality, and collaborating with illustrators to design engineers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in brand design, in-house or agency.
• Portfolio across web, social, and paid channels.
• Strong command of typography, color, and composition.
• Evidence of building a brand system that scaled beyond output.
• Experience directing outside creative partners.
• Fluency with AI tools to produce and scale work with a clear perspective on where not to use them.

Responsibilities

• Evolve and extend the Descript brand to campaigns, web, and events.
• Lead concept and design from brief through delivery for launches and campaigns.
• Develop brand systems and toolkits that scale across products, marketing, and sales.
• Mentor designers and direct internal/external partners to ensure on-brand output.
