Job summary

Morgan Stanley in the United States seeks a Business Service Officer to supervise Support Professionals and execute branch service functions. You will partner with Market Sales and Risk teams to ensure execution of service initiatives and coaching for staff across the market.

Role requires strong leadership, budgeting oversight, and capability to drive process improvements while upholding firm policies and risk/compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• Active Series7 (GS), Series9 and Series10 (SU), Series66 (AG/RA) or Series63 (AG) and Series65 (RA) licenses.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and resolve complex needs.
• Evidence of leadership and talent development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Branch in executing strategic priorities with coaching opportunities.
• Mentor and supervise a team of Support and Service Professionals.
• Promote cross-training, learning and recognition within the market.
• Interview, select and onboard new hires, including Financial Advisors and staff.
• Partner with HR regarding performance reviews, management and conflict resolution.
• Maintain relationships with Branch, Market, Region and Home Office.
• Conduct one-on-one coaching and address service needs with Advisor teams.
• Oversee coverage for Financial Advisors in the Branch.
• Identify recognition opportunities and champion diversity in the market.
• Oversee travel and entertainment expenses and budgeting per Firm policies.
