Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Business Service Officer to lead branch operations, supervise Service Professionals, and drive strategic service initiatives. The role partners with Market Sales and Risk teams to ensure execution of business goals and maintains strong relationships across the branch network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent education.
• Active Series 7 (GS), Series 9 and Series 10 (SU), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) required.
• Other licenses as required for the role or by management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Branch in executing the organization’s strategic priorities by influencing and coaching behavioral change with a focus on consistency, quality, and compliance with Firm policies and procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Support and Service Professionals.
• Promote cross-training, learning, development and recognition of Service and Support Professionals within the market.
• Facilitate interviewing, selection and onboarding of new hires, including newly recruited Financial Advisors and their Support Professionals.
• Partner with MBSO and HR regarding all aspects of people management, including annual performance reviews and conflict resolution.
• Maintain strong relationships with key partners within the Branch, Market, Region and Home Office.
• Conduct Support Professional one-on-one meetings for coaching opportunities and career development.
• Manage Support Professionals coverage for Financial Advisors in the Branch.
• Identify recognition opportunities within the market by sharing best practices and achievements.
• Promote a branch culture consistent with Firm values, including diversity and inclusion.
