Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Business Service Officer in Maryland to lead branch operations and supervise a team of Support Professionals. The role focuses on delivering elevated service, coaching staff, and partnering with Market Sales and Risk to implement firm-wide initiatives.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and relevant licenses with strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required.
• Active securities licenses (Series 7, 9, 10, 66/63/65) as applicable.
• Previous industry experience.
• Adherence to Firm policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Branch in executing the organization’s strategic priorities with coaching and compliance.
• Mentor, supervise, and develop a team of Support Professionals and Service Professionals.
• Promote cross-training, learning, and recognition across the market.
• Coordinate interviewing, selection and onboarding of new hires including Financial Advisors and staff.
• Partner with HR on performance reviews, escalation, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain relationships with Branch, Market, Region and Home Office; participate in meetings and calls.
• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching for staff and address service needs with Advisor teams.
• Oversee coverage for Financial Advisors and identify recognition opportunities.
• Promote a branch culture aligned with firm values, including diversity and inclusion.
