Job summary

Jobtailor in South Bend is seeking a customer-focused Retail Associate to help walk-in customers, provide product guidance, and drive sales with a positive attitude.

You will manage the full customer experience from product selection and accurate order entry to loading vehicles, while adapting communication for in-person, phone, and email interactions. You will assist with merchandising, stock, and showroom upkeep to ensure branch standards.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier with assistance.
• Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to learn and navigate different computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Agreement to safety guidelines and compliance with all process standard, including wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers using guidance, product knowledge, and a winning attitude.
• Maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations.
• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicles.
• Adapt communication style for email, phone, and in-person interactions.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance standards.
• Report to the Store Manager.
