Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an in-person Retail/Store Associate in Peoria, IL to provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers, maximize sales, and manage the overall customer experience from product selection to loading vehicles.

Candidates should be able to adapt communication across in-person, phone, and email, prepare will-call orders, assist with merchandising, and perform inventory counts while learning company computer systems. Safety guidelines and physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage customer experience and maximize sales opportunities.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication and adaptability to different audiences.
• Familiarity with inventory management and showroom replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude
• Maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations
• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicles
• Adapt communication style to differing audiences in email, over the phone, or in person
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products
• Prepare customer backorders and put away other stock received
• Help with merchandising and perform showroom replenishment
• Perform inventory counts
• Learn and navigate computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance standards
• Report to the Store Manager
