Job summary

Grainger in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Branch Sales Associate who will connect with walk-in customers using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and support warehouse tasks throughout the day.

The role reports to the Store Manager; responsibilities include managing the customer experience, order entry, picking and loading, stock replenishment, inventory counts, merchandising, and training on multiple computer systems.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation.
• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work with assistance for heavier loads.
• Learn and operate multiple computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, order entry, picking, and loading customer vehicle.
• Maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style for emails, phone, and in-person interactions.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare backorders and stock replenishment, assist merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts and housekeeping to meet Grainger standards.
