Job summary

Grainger is seeking an experienced Branch Sales Associate for an onsite, part-time role on a naval base. You will engage walk-in customers, guide product selection, and process orders while balancing warehouse tasks. The role reports to the Store Manager and requires flexibility within branch hours.

You will help maximize sales, maintain store standards, and support inventory and merchandising activities. This position offers day-one benefits and part-time hours (~30–39 hrs/wk).

Qualifications

• Customer service skills for walk-in customers and inquiries.
• Ability to process orders accurately and use multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience from product selection to order entry and loading of vehicles.
• Maximize sales opportunities and build customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication for email, phone, or in person interactions.
• Prepare will-call orders and stage shipments.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts and housekeeping to Grainger standards.
• Learn multiple computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse tasks.
