Border States Industries, Inc. in Rochester, MN is seeking a Branch Operations Supervisor to lead the day-to-day branch operations, resolve SAP software issues, oversee purchasing, inventory management, pricing development, and support the branch with product evaluations and code descriptions.

The role requires at least a 2-year business/trade degree and 2+ years of supervisory and customer-service or sales experience, with strong knowledge of electrical products and SAP/Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2 years’ supervisory experience plus 2 years’ customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred.
• Technical ability to understand electrical systems with a minimum of 3 years of prior electrical distribution experience preferred.
• Proficiency with PC Windows, Microsoft Office, and SAP software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as training coordinator for SAP, PC, products, and policy training related issues.
• Develops and/or reviews proposals for purchasing equipment.
• Coordinates computer, telephone, equipment changes, upgrades, or problems with appropriate corporate staff.
• Supervises all inventory modifications using the reason codes in SAP.
• Provides leadership during the location’s annual inventory process and with the Inventory committee.
• Provides responsive, quality customer service to our customers.
• Collaborates with sales/marketing to promote customer-directed product, sales, and marketing programs.
• Supports branch purchasing, product evaluations, code descriptions, inventory management, pricing development, and related functions.
• Oversees inventory cycle counting and root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies.
