Job summary

WaFd Bank in The Dalles, OR is looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to help oversee daily branch operations and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will assist with staff leadership, compliance, and achieving branch goals, helping create a welcoming, efficient banking environment. The role supports leadership in the absence of the Branch Manager and focuses on client satisfaction and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or approved equivalent.
• Five years minimum experience in a financial institution.
• Strong math skills, 10-key and keyboarding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerBI, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills; superior written and oral communication.
• Valid driver's license and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations.
• Drive sales performance and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Assist with staff leadership, operational compliance, and achieving branch goals.
• Provide a welcoming, efficient banking environment and serve as a leader in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Develop relationships with clients and community, expanding business opportunities.
• Promote and demonstrate digital and self-service options to clients.
