Job summary

WaFd Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in daily operations, drive sales performance, and deliver exceptional customer service. The role includes staff leadership, ensuring compliance, and helping to achieve branch goals while maintaining a welcoming banking environment.

Key duties include building product knowledge, pursuing new business relationships, making community calls, promoting digital channels, and supporting profitability and shareholder value.

Qualifications

• Five years minimum experience in a financial institution.
• Strong math skills, 10-key and keyboarding, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerBI, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills; superior written and oral communication.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and adequate insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager in daily branch operations and achieving branch goals.
• Lead staff in the absence of Branch Manager and ensure customer service excellence.
• Develop relationships with clients and proactively seek new business opportunities.
• Promote digital and self-service options to clients and expand customer base.
