Job summary

The Harbor Bank of Maryland in Randallstown, MD is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to oversee branch operations and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service. As a full-time exempt position, you will manage accounts, guide loan and deposit activities, and collaborate with the Branch Manager to achieve targets while maintaining security and policy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in retail banking with progressive responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of retail banking products and services.
• Proven ability to lead and develop staff, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (BSA, AML, and other federal/state banking laws).

Responsibilities

• Aggressively implement the Bank’s mission to provide a superior level of customer service within the branch.
• Provides the appropriate managerial leadership and support to ensure that the office is structured to deliver the Bank’s products and services in an efficient and effective manner.
• Create and maintain an active selling environment.
• Oversees branch’s compliance with established policies, procedures, timely audit requirements and, efficient resolution to operational issues.
• Promotes security awareness and ensures that all security procedures are followed, implemented and maintained.
• Primary responsibility for the operational/procedural training of branch staff, observing teller line and conveying information and updates in a timely manner.
• Probes, listens, assesses, recommends, and sells bank products and services.
• Also, resolve customer relations issues through courtesy, respect and effective negotiation.
• Manages all account products, including installment loans, overdraft protection, checking, savings, certificates of deposit, IRA accounts and other retail banking services.
