Job summary

Heritage Landscape Supply Group seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in achieving branch operations excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes strategic thinking, operational leadership, and strong team development.

The ABM will lead warehouse and field teams, drive process improvements, and contribute to planning initiatives that sustain long-term success. A focus on safety, compliance, and relationship management is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in warehouse/distribution; 5+ years preferred in a relevant industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and execute processes efficiently.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Project management skills, including prioritizing tasks and managing multiple initiatives.
• Leadership development experience and succession planning capabilities.
• Strong relationship management skills with a focus on retention and satisfaction.
• Knowledge of operational and warehouse safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal background and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Support the Branch Manager in standards, optimize warehouse and branch operations, and drive efficiency.
• Financial Performance: Assist in achieving branch revenue and profitability targets through sales strategies.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop branch staff including warehouse personnel, drivers, and inside sales teams.
• Customer Relations: Build and maintain relationships, address inquiries, and resolve issues for customer satisfaction.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate on strategic plans to drive growth and excellence.
• Operational Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to policies, safety standards, and procedures.
