Job summary

Santa Cruz Community Credit Union seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to help direct branch operations, lead the member service team, and manage cash, audits, and daily activity. The role partners with the Branch Manager to meet/exceed branch goals and ensure accurate documentation and security.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in a supervisory role, strong leadership and bilingual English/Spanish capabilities, plus knowledge of banking regulations and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a similar role with supervision of 6+ employees.
• High school diploma required; AA or higher degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Bank Secrecy, OFAC and CIP/MIP standards/regulations and related laws.
• Ability to manage, motivate, train and ensure staff meet/exceed goals.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to members, staff and community in a professional manner.
• Prepare and submit reports for leadership as needed.
• Direct, motivate, hire and discipline branch staff; evaluate performance.
• Track and report performance against service and sales goals; coach for improvements.
• Monitor branch activity and report transactions, volumes and errors.
• Maintain a well-trained staff to meet daily branch demands.
• Ensure budgeted branch growth and service plans are met.
• Evaluate branch efficiency and recommend policy or process changes.
• Provide accurate service and support to members and associates.
• Help branch meet monthly goals and coach staff toward targets.
