Suffolk Credit Union is seeking a Branch Operations Specialist III (Head Teller) to lead daily branch activities, oversee cash handling, and ensure compliance with regulations. You will cultivate member relationships, identify cross-sell opportunities, and supervise staff to deliver outstanding service.

The role emphasizes supervising teller operations, vault and ATM duties, and contributing to business development through referrals and cross-channel coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years teller experience with cash handling knowledge.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent member service and address requests promptly.
• Oversee cash handling, balancing, vault transactions for accuracy and security.
• Develop advisory relationships to deepen member relations and refer opportunities.
• Process transactions while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise Personal Banker tasks including account openings/closings and wires.
• Manage teller drawer reconciliations, vault operations, and ATM/ITM duties.
• Provide training, audits, and document retention/compliance efforts.
• Support Call Center and Digital Banking inquiries; engage in community events.
• Lead team to meet monthly loan and service goals while adhering to regulations.
