Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union is hiring a Branch Operations Specialist III (Head Teller) in New York. You will supervise teller operations, manage cash handling, and support new account openings while maintaining strong member relationships.

In this role, you will mentor staff, ensure compliance with banking regulations, and identify cross-sell opportunities across Retail, Lending, and Mortgage services. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years teller experience and knowledge of cash handling equipment.
• 1+ year in a supervisory role; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent member service and resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee daily cash handling, balancing, and vault transactions with accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise tellers and Personal Banker tasks, including account activity and fraud prevention.
• Develop member relationships to deepen referrals and cross-sell bank products.
