Job summary

Sikorsky Credit Union in Connecticut is seeking a Lead Teller to manage the teller line and ensure branch operations comply with policies and regulations. This role oversees daily branch activities, including ATM, vault, and scheduling, to deliver exceptional member service.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years in banking, prior supervisory experience, strong cash handling skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% and work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in customer service and banking.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year cash handling experience.
• Extensive knowledge of products and services and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Able to travel up to 50% and work evenings/weekends; alarm and ATM duties.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff to ensure service levels and operations meet Credit Union expectations.
• Opens branch with opening teller, surprise cash audits and ATM duties; coordinates scheduling.
• Balances vault, orders cash, verifies/balances cash shipments and monitors cash flow.
• Maintains lobby/vestibule notice requirements and audit logs.
• Serves as back up to staff at other branch locations when needed.
• Promotes a positive work atmosphere and upholds core values of service, teamwork, integrity and responsibility.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and technology.
• Ensures adherence to policies and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
• Performs additional duties as required by management.
