Job summary

Industrial Supply Corporation in Salt Lake City seeks a Branch Operations Support Specialist to strengthen daily operations and customer service. You will visit branches, assist with processes, train staff, review KPI reports, and help implement improvement plans.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in branch operations, warehousing, inventory management, or related support.
• Basic working knowledge of lean practices and quality procedures; willingness to learn company methods.
• Computer skills including Excel, email, and standard reports; ability to learn ERP and warehouse systems.
• Ability to read operational reports, recognize discrepancies, document findings, and follow an action plan.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills to work with branch employees, supervisors, territory managers, and sales leaders.
• Ability to organize work, manage travel, and follow through with limited supervision.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays for out-of-state branches.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned branches for multiple days per visit to observe processes and assist with improvement activities.
• Review KPI reports with supervisors and managers to identify gaps and investigate issues.
• Help implement approved action plans with tasks and deadlines; track progress.
• Support receiving, putaway, inventory control, cycle counts, picking, packing, and shipping procedures.
• Apply lean methods (5S, visual management, standard work) to keep operations organized.
• Document errors and corrective actions as part of quality procedures.
• Provide practical training and coaching on processes and system use.
