Job summary

Alta Paints & Coatings in Salt Lake City seeks an Operations Branch Manager to lead all branch operations, including warehouse, inventory, logistics, and customer service. You will oversee safety, facilities, and staff development to ensure efficient day-to-day performance and cost-effective operations.

As a leader, you will drive process improvements, coordinate with sales, production, and transportation, and uphold OSHA standards while supporting growth and exceptional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or operations management.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse, logistics, and branch personnel.
• Recruit, hire, train, and onboard team members as needed.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold employees accountable for results.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused workplace culture.
• Develop employee schedules and staffing plans to meet business demands.
• Promote employee engagement and continuous learning opportunities.
• Champion safety throughout all branch operations.
• Oversee receiving, stocking, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity in ERP systems.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound transportation and route deliveries.
• Maintain facility and equipment, and manage security and maintenance.
