Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Portage, IL is seeking a Branch Manager to lead inside and outside sales with P&L responsibility. You will hire, train, and develop a high-performing team, while building strong relationships with industrial B2B customers across our diverse markets.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will drive sales strategy, profitability, and service center operations, including promotions, account assignments, and territory management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years proven B2B outside industrial sales experience.
• Leadership experience and team-building skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; English grammar.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.
• Problem solving, multi-tasking, sense of urgency, and sense of humor.
• Solid computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR).
• Bearings and/or power transmission sales experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop strong performing team players. Champion leadership competencies
• Lead training for sales expertise and product knowledge. Ensure high customer relations and satisfaction
• Develop, manage and implement service center sales activities and strategies, account assignment and territory management, sales performance goal achievement, margins
• Identify and evaluate new customers, market conditions, opportunities, competitive pressures
• Recommend and implement actions to maximize sales, increase margins, expand market share
• Personal assigned accounts as required
