Job summary

The Eagle Valley Library District in Eagle, Colorado, seeks an experienced Branch Manager for its Eagle Branch. Reporting to the Library Director, the position oversees daily operations, supervises staff, and ensures adherence to policies and service standards.

Required is a Master of Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program and at least three years of professional library experience; supervisory experience and bilingual language skills are preferred to serve a diverse

Qualifications

• Master of Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution is required.
• Three years of professional public library work is required.
• Supervisory experience or collaboration with external partners is preferred.
• Bilingual language skills are encouraged; 33% of staff are bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Eagle Branch.
• Supervises branch staff per library chart.
• Communicates library policies to public and staff.
• Anticipates and budgets for facility needs; identifies outreach opportunities.
• Promotes the library through community involvement.
• Prepares and submits monthly statistics and reports to the Library Director.
