Job summary

The Eagle Valley Library District seeks a Branch Manager to join the District Leadership team, developing strategy and leading all aspects of a community branch within a small library system. The manager works as a professional librarian to provide direct public service, while guiding staff and operations.

Responsibilities include supervising 2-4 librarians and 5-10 staff or volunteers, overseeing recruitment, training, budgeting, facilities, and compliance with Colorado library laws.

Qualifications

• Master of Library and Information Science required from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum three years of professional public library work experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience developing collaborations and partnerships preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch and district library services, staffing, and training.
• Develop strategy and lead district leadership initiatives.
• Oversee facility maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate recruitment, staffing, and performance evaluations.
• Engage with Board of Trustees and report on minutes.
