Job summary

Poppy Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee all aspects of a full-service bank branch. You will manage staff, drive sales, ensure compliance, and maintain security and customer satisfaction in daily operations.

The role requires strong leadership, a focus on deposits growth, and active community involvement to support branch goals. This is an in-office position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven sales ability and documented branch growth.
• Minimum of 7 years in a branch environment.
• Minimum of 5 years branch management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years management of complex business and consumer accounts.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Active involvement in local community organizations.
• Notary Public preferred.
• Proficient using Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• California driver’s license and a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop quality staff ensuring proper skills and staffing levels.
• Meet direct reports monthly and document coaching opportunities.
• Ensure staff trained in sales and service techniques.
• Promote core deposit growth via in-branch promotions.
• Monitor branch trends and inform Sr. Mgmt of issues.
• Communicate policy changes and schedule trainings.
• Resolve performance issues per Bank policy, up to termination.
• Conduct annual performance and compensation reviews.
• Ensure security and safety policies are followed.
• Lead sales strategies and community engagement.
• Develop and coach branch team sales skills.
• Refer small business credit opportunities.
• Coaches team to initiate quality referrals.
• Oversee customer service and retention activities.
• Manage operations and approvals of large deposits.
