Job summary

Poppy Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee all aspects of a full-service bank branch, including staff leadership, sales, customer service, operations, and regulatory compliance. The role requires in-office work in California and a track record of driving branch performance and deposits growth.

The Branch Manager will hire and develop staff, manage performance, and implement sales campaigns while ensuring adherence to bank policies and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven sales ability and documented branch growth
• Minimum of 7 years in a branch environment
• Minimum of 5 years branch management experience
• Minimum of 3 years management of complex business and consumer accounts
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Leadership and experience in teamwork (or team building) and customer service
• Experience in hiring, training, coaching and performance management of employees
• Active involvement in business related local community organizations (i.e., Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, etc.)
• Notary Public preferred
• Must be proficient using Word, Excel and Outlook applications
• Requires the ability to work flexible hours in some cases beyond scheduled hours
• Current California driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Manages branch operations and staff to ensure quality customer service and achievement of branch goals.
• Oversees hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Develops and executes sales strategies to grow deposits and expand branch market share.
• Ensures compliance with bank policies and state/federal regulations.
• Monitors branch performance and communicates results to leadership; addresses issues promptly.
• Directs day-to-day operations, approves large deposits/withdrawals, and reviews daily reports.
